smallfarm

when getting your garden started this spring, avoid the mahem of home depot. those low prices come at a greater cost than you know. as you may recall from the measley tomatoes of last season a blight hit the majority of crops. contamination from careless overproduction can cost us our seasonal yield. get your tomato plants, herbs and lettuce from a green market. after talking to a farm hand from Oak Grove Plantation at the Farmers Market here in Williamsburg, I realised that those of us fortunate enough to pay the extra dollars can help stabalize the growth of our fruits and vegetables, and reap the benefit of delicious naturally grown food. The cute and caring farmers are an added plus.
